Motors can easily be added to most any shade application. Motorization is probably the fastest growing segment of the shade business. There is just something that your customer loves about controlling the shades from their easy chair or office desk. Ideal for conference, board or projection rooms. Elevated or hard to reach or large heavy shades. Operate motors individually or as a group.
Somfy offers a wide range of motors from wireless battery controlled to AC or DC powered. Motors can be controlled with a wireless hand held remote, wireless wall switch, home automation, from your cell phone or with timers and/or sun sensors. All motors fit inside of the roller tube and do not extend more than a bead chain clutch. Many motors use the same mounting hardware as standard clutch shades.

Somfy R28 – RTS Wireless motor (battery powered)
Designed for smaller lightweight shades. No wiring, no switch, no electrician. Can be powered by a 8 AA lithium battery wand, AC plug-in adapter or solar powered 13” x 2” panel to recharge batteries. Depending on shade weight and daily usage, lithium batteries should last about 200 operations.

Sonesse 30 – Low Voltage – Low Noise
Motors are powered by a 24V power supply converter that is plugged into an 110v receptacle. Power supply box varies in size from a 2” x 2” for a single motor up to a 4” x 4” x 9” for 9 motors. A small 18ga. speaker wire is all that is required. Controlled by wireless remote control.

Two shades with one motor can be banded together using a joint couple (and intermediate bracket). Both shade tubes must be in a straight line.
Sonesse 40 and Sonesse 50 – AC Powered
Typically used in commercial applications for frequently used, larger, heavier or multi banded shades. Up to 3 shades on a single motor. Motors can be hardwired into a junction box or plugged directly into a receptacle. An electrician is usually required.
Sonesse 40 – used in 1 1/2″ or 2” aluminum tubes
Sonesse 50 – used in 2”, 2 1/2″or 3” aluminum tubes
