The benefit of being the first born of the owner is that you have a life long career. Mine started at the tender age of 12 in the shipping department.  The draw back is that by the end of your career you will have worked in nearly every position in the company.  After my stint in the shipping department and as a receptionist and upon graduation from Illinois State University, I was moved to our retail window coverings company.  For the last 19 years I have been running this company, which now has two locations. I have greatly enjoyed my time in retail.  It has given me the opportunity to utilize my interior design skills, better my selling techniques, and improve my marketing, advertising and management methods.

Over the next year or so, I will be transitioning to Midwest Marketing, taking over marketing and sales for Midwest Marketing along with our three retail stores.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Josh, for nearly 19 years and we have two children, Chase and Kennedy.  Having two teenagers means that I stay very active with their social lives and extra curricular activities.  When I do have time to myself, my husband and I like to work out, travel, be outside, and spend time with our friends.  We are also very involved in numerous St. Jude events.
